Dr. Phil Harbridge

Phil Harbridge is a gifted communicator and author, a creative advisor and an inspired leader. Phil has a strong desire to lead people towards a deeper, more meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ.

Phil has been immersed in ministry for over 30 years, both as a full-time youth/young adults pastor, teacher, lecturer, volunteer and friend, and has made significant contributions to the development of youth ministry at the local, national and international levels. He has succeeded at over 15 years of post High School education. He has graduated with honors, received 3 degrees, and been ordained.

But here is what is important; Phil says, Here’s my resume. I am a good husband to my wife, and our marriage has lived up to our vows. I can't say whether I succeeded, but I have genuinely tried to be a good father to my daughters. I take good care of my parents. After more than 50 years, I no longer consider myself to be the center of the universe. Despite all evidence to the contrary, I continue to hope in a God of love who will triumph over evil in the end, and I try to live according to that hope. I listen. I still have a sense of humor. I am a good friend to my friends, and they to me, and we have been that way for a long time. Without those people, without those relationships, I would be an empty man, no matter how long my list of other accomplishments. I would have nothing if it weren’t for the relationships I have in my life.

Phil teaches Biblical Studies, Discipleship, and Worship Leadership at Richmond Christian School. Phil is also Discipleship & Spiritual Director for Christian Journeys- helping groups experience the Lands of the Bible. He is a seasonal lecturer at Capernwray Harbour Bible Centre on Thetis Island BC. Along with officiating weddings, he is a speaker, writer, and marathon runner & clinic leader. Ever an Edmonton Oilers fan(atic!), Phil and his wife Kay live in White Rock just outside Vancouver, BC.
